How long will coronavirus pandemic last?

In China

Wuhan, China, the birthplace of the Coronavirus, lifted their 76 day lockdown on Wednesday, April 7th, 2020. The first report to the World Health Organization was December 31st, 2019.

The extreme measures taken by China to contain the virus were questioned by some, and highly supported by others.

Wuhan-style measures are not a requirement to contain the disease. Countries with strong links to China that acted early and decisively – including Taiwan and Singapore – have so far managed to contain the disease through thorough screening, testing and contact tracing programmes, as well as bringing in early social distancing.

The Whole World Agrees

What experts all around the world agree on is that in order to get through the COVID-19 crisis as quickly as possible, the public has to comply with all social distancing and self-isolation recommendations.

The faster we all comply with staying home, the faster we will all get back to normal.
