Pharmaprix - The history
Pharmaprix is a Canadian pharmacy chain based in Quebec. The stores name Shoppers Drug Mart in else provinces. The chain was founded in 1962 by Murray Koffler, the Toronto pharmacist. The first Shoppers Drug Mart store opened in Toronto, Ontario and was innovative in that it combined mass merchandising and self-service into a retail pharmacy format. Over the past 50 years, Pharmaprix becomes Canada’s leading drug store retailer.
