Ideas on How to Pass Time During Social Distancing Due to Covid-19

Take Advantage of All the Free Yoga

Oh yes and all that free yoga. There is yoga available of all different kinds. High quality yoga that you would otherwise have to drive to the big city for is at everyone’s disposal. No matter what kind of yoga you’re into and what level you’re at, there is a class for you. Many businesses and individual yoga teachers are offering live classes (Facebook, Crowdcast, Zoom). Right now, the community of yogis are really putting themselves out there with what’s known as “karmic yoga”.

Get Creative

Most of us have a project that we haven’t completed because we got too busy. Maybe you were learning to knit or cross stitch. Maybe you have a watercolor set or some oil paintings you’ve never even opened. We all have a pull to do creative things but sadly, we often lack the time to do something fulfilling like creating something. This is your chance to get creative and fall into a hobby that you’ve been putting off. This will help boost your mood and pass a lot of time in a positive way.

There are many mundane things you can do that may pass time, but they may cause you to feel even more bored. Doing things that nurture your soul will help keep your spirits up. If you watch copious amounts of TV or surf the net all day, you’re probably not going to sleep well. This can cause you to feel exhausted and worse about everything. Get creative for the soul, stay in touch with loved ones for the heart, and do things like yoga and meditation to keep yourself grounded and centered. We don’t know how long this is going to last for. It’s important to stay in a good headspace.
