How Coronavirus is improving the environment

 

With fewer cars on the road, planes in the sky, and with factories around the world closing their doors, people around the world are enjoying cleaner air and clearer views.

 

Pollution levels have decreased significantly

In Madrid, the average level of nitrogen dioxide recorded on March 17 was almost 75% lower than the previous week. Around the world, cities are reporting massive drops in their pollution levels, such as New York, where levels are down 50%, and in China down 25%.
