Easter during lockdown

easter 2020

Most South African’s have happy memories of Easter. Many take the opportunity to pack their bags and head off to their favourite seaside village, camping ground or riverside lodge. It’s a chance to enjoy the last of the good weather before winter sets in, a time to enjoy family discussions around the fire or hike along forest paths.

So, this year it’s different. The Easter weekend falls on the 10th to the 13th of April, during lockdown. In South Africa we’re enduring one of the most stringent lockdowns in the world. No walking your dog, no jogging outside, no visits to family, no alcohol or cigarette sales. Despite this there are still plenty of fun things to do.
